Coronavirus: UEFA Decides to Postpone Europa and Champions League

In view of the ever-increasing number of patients with coronavirus infection, many big tournaments are being canceled or postponed. The European Football Association (UEFA) postponed all international matches proposed in June due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

UEFA said, "The Champions League and Europa League have been postponed until further notice. Play-off matches for UEFA Euro 2020 and qualifying matches for UEFA Women's Euro 2021 have also been postponed. All other matches of the UEFA competition, including international friendly matches, have been postponed until further notice." The decision was taken after a video conference with 55 member associations of Europe.

On Wednesday, the third Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year, Wimbledon was also decided to be canceled due to Coronavirus. The All England Club announced that it could be considered to be postponed for two or three weeks, but an emergency meeting agreed not to hold it this year.
