Snowfall in Himachal is Making Winters Arrive early in North India

Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh have remained cold in northern India due to the ongoing snowfall for the past several days. Snowfall was also seen in Rohtang Pass of Lahaul-Spiti on Sunday. During this time, roads and people's houses were covered with a white sheet of snow. Passengers also had to face problems due to the roads being blocked at many places.

The snow accumulated on the roads was cleared by the JCB machine after traffic disruptions due to heavy snowfall. Drinking water tanks froze due to heavy drop in temperature after snowfall in Lahaul Valley. Due to this, people had to struggle a lot for drinking water.

According to the report, in addition to Lahaul in Himachal, Rohtang Pass, Baralacha Pass, Kunjum Valley area has also received snowfall.

Apart from this, snowfall was recorded in Badrinath in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Kedarnath in Rudraprayag district and Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarkashi district. Srinagar, the capital of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, also received snow on Saturday night.
