Hero Launches Maestro Xoom 110, Segment-First Scooter With Cornering Light Function

Shivam Verma

Hero MotoCorp, the country's largest two-wheeler maker, has today (January 30) launched the Maestro Xoom 110cc in India. The company has launched it in three variants LX, VX and ZX. Its starting price (Delhi ex-showroom) is Rs 68,599 which goes up to Rs 76,699 in the top end variant. These are introductory prices.

The company claims that the top variant ZX of the all-new Hero Maestro Zoom is the first scooter in the 110cc segment to feature cornering light function. Along with this, LED projector headlamps will also be available in the top variant ZX.

The scooter gets gyroscopic/accelerometer sensors, which sends signals to the scooter's cornering lamps. This causes the corner light to light up when the scooter leans or turns to one side. On the other hand, when the scooter is stable and the handlebar is on, the cornering lamps do not light up. This function works while riding the scooter.

Color option

It is the third two-wheeler in the brand's gearless scooter lineup after Maestro Edge and Pleasure Plus. There are 5 color options available in the scooter. These include Matte Abrax Orange, Black, Sports Red, Polestar Blue and Pearl Silver White.

Power train

Hero Maestro Zoom has a 110.9cc single cylinder air-cooled Fi engine. This engine generates power of 8.05 bhp at 7,250 rpm and torque of 8.70 Nm at 5,750 rpm. This engine is paired with CVT transmission. The scooter gets a fuel tank with a capacity of 5.2 litres.

Design and Features

Talking about the design of the scooter, sharp designs are available in Hero Maestro. LED headlamps and X-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) have been given on its apron. At the same time, X shape LED taillamp has been given in the back. It also gets a fully digital LED instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and 12-inch alloy wheels.

Apart from this, the scooter gets XTEC technology, rear grip for the last passenger, front glove box with USB charger and a large under-seat storage with LED lamps. The scooter comes with Integrated Braking System (IBS) and disc brake at the front.
