Sensex Closes above 40000 for the Sixth Consecutive Day in the Stock Market

The stock market closed with a Green mark for the sixth consecutive day on Friday. The Sensex closed at 40,165.03, a gain of 35.98 i.e. 0.09 per cent. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 11,899.50 with a gain of 22.05 i.e. 0.19 percent.

Actually, fast shopping was also seen on Friday. Sensex managed to close beyond 40,000 for the third consecutive day. Nifty Bank saw a jump of nearly 300 points due to the purchase of banking shares. During the trading, metal stocks also saw a glow, which saw strong buying in HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank and ITC.

Earlier, the stock market also started with a boom on Friday. As soon as the market opened, IOC shares fell by about Rs 5 to Rs 141.55. At the same time, Coal India shares fell by about Rs 4 to open at Rs 203.45. Bharti Airtel's stock was down around Rs 8 to open at Rs 366.50.

Actually, the visible progress from Diwali continues. During the trading on Thursday, the Sensex set a new record high of 40,392.22, but could not sustain at this level.
