Many young people who have been hit by Corona have to be admitted to hospitals. These are people in whom the disease has reached a moderate to severe level. Experts now say that this is happening due to happy hypoxia. In Bihar, about 30 patients died due to this. Many cases have also been reported in Hyderabad.

What is Happy Hypoxia?

This is a situation where oxygen is falling in a person's body, but the body does not know. Doctors show that the problem arises when there is more than a sudden decrease. By then, the lungs have become more vulnerable. Since the youth have more power to fight the disease, the lack of oxygen in the body is not detected quickly. Experts suggest that such infected youth should be updated about themselves by checking Oxygen periodically.

The problem is only when the oxygen level is below 80

Dr. Rahul Agarwal of Medicover Hospital says, 'Happy hypoxia is more visible among the youth. Usually, they do not feel the problem until oxygen saturation falls below 80. At the same time, problems like breathing, chest problems start to emerge when saturation comes below 90. In such a situation, the young patients have very little time left for treatment.

In Bhagalpur, Bihar, about 30 corona patients died due to the onset of a hypoxia stage. Doctors at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) in Bhagalpur have claimed that many patients admitted there were suffering from 'hypoxia'. About 30 percent of the patients died due to this.
