According to Global NCAP testing and safety rating, Mahindra and Tata stand out in the top 10 lists. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed alarm over road accidents on Wednesday, claiming that India ranks first in the world in terms of the number of people killed in traffic accidents.

In addition, India ranks first in terms of the number of people killed in road accidents and third in terms of the number of people injured, according to Gadkari.

Furthermore, Parliament was informed that the percentage of deaths involving road users aged 18 to 45 years amounted to 69.81% for the year 2020.

While safety was not a factor considered while purchasing an automobile a few years ago, things have changed in recent years. Most likely as a result of increased awareness of the necessity of automobiles and road safety. Indian automobiles aren't especially well-known for their world-class safety, but things are steadily changing. Global NCAP has played a significant role in lobbying for safer vehicles in India.
