Warning Issued for Heavy Rainfall in Dehradun, Nainital, and Other Uttarakhand Districts Over Next 24 Hours

Uttarakhand Weather: Isolated areas in Uttarakhand's Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, and other districts can expect heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning, as well as very intense to extremely intense rain spells.

Uttarakhand Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many districts of Uttarakhand over the next 24 hours, including Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, and Bageshwar. 

The IMD has stated that there is a strong likelihood that isolated locations in these districts will see violent rain, thunderstorms with lightning, or very heavy rain during this timeframe.

The meteorological service has issued an official bulletin outlining its forecast for India's Northwest area. It predicts light to moderate rainfall, as well as thunderstorms and lightning. 

It also forecasts isolated heavy rain events in the following states and territories: Himachal Pradesh from Tuesday to Friday, Uttarakhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh from Monday to Friday, Western Uttar Pradesh from Monday to Thursday, Eastern Rajasthan from Monday to Tuesday, and Northern Haryana-Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Further, IMD projections indicate the probability of isolated incidents of very heavy rainfall. This phenomenon is likely to occur in Uttarakhand from Monday to Thursday, and in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday and Thursday. 

Similarly, heavy rain is expected in Northwest Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Moving on to Central India, the IMD predicts mild to moderate, widespread rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning.

Notably, Western Madhya Pradesh is expected to receive scattered heavy rain through Wednesday, whereas Eastern Madhya Pradesh is expected to receive it on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Weather fluctuations are expected in the country's east as well. Rainfall will be mild to moderate and quite widespread, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Regional Rainfall and Thunderstorm Projections

Furthermore, specific places have been designated for isolated heavy rainfall. Over the next five days, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are possible possibilities, with Gangetic West Bengal expecting it on Thursday and Friday. 

Meanwhile, Odisha and Jharkhand should brace themselves for severe weather from Wednesday to Friday, while Bihar should brace themselves from Tuesday to Friday.

Light to moderate and widespread rainfall, as well as thunderstorms and lightning, are expected throughout the Northeast. 

The IMD also warns of the possibility of isolated heavy rain, notably in Assam and Meghalaya from Monday to Friday, and in Arunachal Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday.

In the Southern region, the IMD predicts light to moderate to widespread rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning. Notably, Tamil Nadu has been marked out for severe rain on Tuesday.

The IMD concludes that the remainder of the country is unlikely to experience substantial weather variations during the next five days.
