In the town of Banbhoolpura, Uttarakhand, an unfortunate incident occurred where individuals from the Muslim community unlawfully entered the residence of a Hindu family and subjected both men and women to physical assault.
Shockingly, even a pregnant woman was targeted, as she was kicked in the stomach and her clothes were torn.
The local authorities promptly responded to the incident and have taken action by identifying four individuals, with Imran being the main accused.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against 10-12 people, charging them with various offences including incitement, molestation, assault, and making threats.
The police are actively pursuing the investigation to ensure that justice is served in this distressing situation.
According to the police, there is a family named Rajendra Maurya residing in Gaujajali, Banbhoolpura. Recently, the municipal corporation constructed a drain in the street, but unfortunately, the drain's height in front of Rajendra's house was not properly adjusted.
As a result, water could not flow through the drain effectively. In response to this problem, Rajendra took matter into his own hands and broke the drain on Monday (July 09).
Later that night, a heated argument broke out between Rajendra and his neighbour, Imran, regarding this issue. Angered by the altercation, Imran left the scene and returned with a group of 10-12 individuals.
Armed with iron rods, sticks, bricks, and stones, the accused forcefully entered Rajendra's house and mercilessly assaulted everyone present.
Shockingly, they targeted the pregnant woman by kicking her in the stomach and even attacked her head with a sharp weapon.
As the commotion escalated, concerned individuals in the vicinity promptly notified the Banbhoolpura police.
The incident that occurred on Monday night left the people in a state of panic, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in the area.
In response to the incident, the police swiftly mobilized their forces to apprehend the accused.
According to police sources, four individuals have been successfully taken into custody as suspects in connection with the incident.
The authorities are actively pursuing leads and are confident in their ability to apprehend the remaining accused in the near future.
