Rajasthan Election 2023: The countdown has begun for the upcoming Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for November 25.
All political parties are actively engaged, each claiming their victory with utmost enthusiasm. While the Bharatiya Janata Party asserts its return to power, the Congress is determined to secure another historic win.
With 1,875 candidates in the fray for the 200 assembly seats, the competition is fierce.
In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats, forming a government with the support of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Meanwhile, the BJP secured 73 seats. In the previous elections, several candidates emerged victorious with fewer than a thousand votes.
Jabbar Singh Sankhla, the BJP candidate contesting from the Asind electoral area, secured victory with a margin of 154 votes (margin percentage - 0.1%).
On this seat, independent candidate Khushveer Singh secured victory with a margin of 251 votes (margin percentage - 0.2%).
In the Pilibanga seat, Bharatiya Janata Party's Dharmendra Kumar secured victory with a margin of 278 votes (margin percentage - 0.1%)."
In the Bundi Legislative Assembly seat, in 2018, BJP's Ashok Dogara secured victory with a margin of 713 votes (margin percentage - 0.3%).
Contesting on this seat, Congress candidate Hakam Ali Khan secured victory with a margin of 860 votes (margin percentage - 0.5%).
Contesting from this seat, Congress candidate Saleh Mohammad secured victory with a margin of 872 votes (margin percentage - 0.5%).
Congress candidate Veerendra Singh secured victory from this assembly seat with a margin of 872 votes (margin percentage - 0.5%).
Congress candidate Jitendra Singh secured victory from the Khetri Legislative Assembly seat with a margin of 957 votes (margin percentage - 0.6%).
Bharatiya Janata Party's Hameer Singh Bhayal secured victory from the Siwana seat with a margin of 957 votes (margin percentage - 0.6%).
