Nuh Violence: According to an official announcement issued on Tuesday, the ongoing suspension of mobile internet services in Nuh district has been extended until midnight on August 11.

The decision to extend the internet restriction follows the violent events of July 31 in Nuh, which involved an incident surrounding a Vishva Hindu Parishad parade.

This violence then spread to Gurugram and other districts in the state.

Previously, on August 5, the Haryana government announced an extension of the mobile internet suspension in both Nuh and Palwal districts, which was originally scheduled to last until Tuesday, August 8th.

Notably, the curfew enforced in Nuh on July 31 owing to violence between two religious groups was briefly removed on August 9 for a four-hour period.

The Nuh region has been dealing with tensions since the aforementioned confrontations, forcing the curfew to be imposed.

On the day in question, a Vishva Hindu Parishad parade became a flashpoint, resulting in disturbances that killed six people, including two home guards and a cleric.

The subsequent turmoil had a knock-on effect on other districts such as Gurugram.

However, due to the existing curfew and security concerns, the police barred them from doing so. The delegation, led by Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda, wanted to engage the afflicted population in Nuh city and spread a message of peace.

The situation in Nuh remains tight as authorities deal with the fallout from the skirmishes and attempt to restore order.

The prolongation of the mobile internet suspension reflects a concerted effort to limit the flow of information during this period of increased sensitivity.

As the region deals with these issues, the emphasis is on restoring calm and creating understanding among the various groups involved.
