Rahul achieved this feat against Delhi Capitals and Cummins scored it against Mumbai Indians. In the current ongoing edition, there are players who have got to this record.

Here are the players who have got to this record in the current (16th) ongoing edition of the IPL -

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal

In yesterday’s game, Yashasvi scored the fastest half-century of the IPL and this season. He took just 13 balls to achieve this feat against KKR.

2. Nicholas Pooran

The West Indian wicket-keeper batter is the second batter to achieve this feat in the current edition. Pooran plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the TATA IPL 2023 edition.

Against RCB in that run chase, Pooran scored a half-century off just 15 balls which helped the Super Giants side to win that close match.

3. Jason Roy

The opening batter from England is in the third position. Roy plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the current season and he has done a decent job till now.

However, KKR still needs Roy to fire in the remaining matches which can help the Purple Army to qualify for the playoff berth.

Roy scored two fastest half-centuries in a single season. Against CSK, Roy smashed a 19-ball fifty and replicated the same performance against RCB, scoring a half-century in just 22 balls.

4. Ajinkya Rahane

The number three batter of the CSK team is the fourth batter in this list. Rahane has been good since his return to the shortest format. Ajinkya has shown that he can be an all-format player for Team India and not just a Test specialist batsman.

On his home ground at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Jinx smashed the fourth fastest fifty of this edition against MI. He scored a half-century off just 19 balls that allowed CSK to win that game very easily.

5. Jos Buttler

The RR and England team opener, Jos Buttler was the orange cap holder last season. But he hasn’t been at his fluent best in this edition of the TATA IPL.

Still, he is on this list because he too smashed the fastest half-century this season. Jos the Boss took just 20 balls to score a half-century against the orange Army, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

6. Shardul Thakur

The final player on this list is Lord Thakur. Shardul Thakur is an excellent all-rounder that any team would be fortunate to have. His bowling has been exceptional, and he has a talent for taking wickets at crucial moments in the game.

Thakur’s batting too is wonderful. He has scored fifties with the red ball in England and Australia. Against RCB, when the KKR side was reeling at one point, Thakur smashed a half-century off 20 balls and allowed his side to post a good score on the board.
