The date for the auction of the IPL 2023 season has been announced. This time the auction will not be a grand affair as it was in 2022. The mini-auction for the TATA IPL 2023 will be held at Kochi on Saturday, 23rd December 2022.

IPL 2023: 991 players have been registered for mini-auction

The mini-auction of the Indian Premier League will be followed very closely, and over the years, the auctions have also got the most viewership on the Star Sports India Networks and Disney+ Hotstar. For the IPL 2023 season, 991 players have been registered for this day-long event in Kochi. 

The capped players who have been registered for the mini-auction are 19 players. The uncapped players who had played in the cash-rich league tournament before are 91 players, and the overall list of uncapped Indian players is 604.

20 players are from the Associate Nations, along with 166 capped international players, three of the international players have been part of the IPL before, and there will be 88 uncapped International players for this mini-auction of IPL 2023.

276 overseas players have been registered in the mini-auction of IPL 2023

The foreign players have been the heart of the Indian Premier League since the first season of 2008. This cash-rich tournament is not complete without the presence of overseas players.

  • 52 players from South Africa 

  • 33 players will be from West Indies

  • 27 players are from New Zealand

  • 23 players from Sri Lanka 

  • 31 players will participate from England 

  •  Zimbabwe and United Arab Emirates (UAE) will send six players each 

  • Scotland will send just 2 players

  • Namibia will send 5 players

  • Netherlands will send 7 players

  • Ireland will send 8 players 

  • Bangladesh will send 6 players and

  •  Afghanistan will send 14 players. 

IPL 2023: Base price of mini-auction will be 20 lakhs

The Indian Premiere League (IPL) is the first Franchise league tournament in cricket history, and it deals with crores of rupees. That is why this tournament is called the cash-rich league tournament.

According to reports, the base price of the mini-auction in the IPL 2023 season is twenty lakhs, and it would go more than two crores.

Not a single Indian player is in the maximum base price of mini-auction

The mini-auction of the Indian Premier League 2023 season has set a maximum base price of two crores rupees. But, surprisingly, not a single player from the Indian Cricket Team has been named in this category.

The International stars of cricket will be brought in the maximum base price of two crores, and the price will go higher.
