Bowl-out drama at Durban in 2007 T20 WC

The highly anticipated contest ended spectacularly in their first-ever meeting in the game of the shortest format. We all know that the first edition of the T20 World Cup was held in South Africa in 2007, and these two Asian giants played for the first time; the match was tied, and the winner was decided due to the bowl.

India scored 141 for nine, mainly because of Robin Uthappa's half-century. MS Dhoni and Irfan Pathan also contributed down the order.

Pakistan also lost wickets at regular intervals. But they kept the fight because of Misbah-ul-Haq’s fighting cameo. But when the men in green needed one run, Misbah was run out, and the score was levelled to 141 runs.

For the first time, bowl-out was being played in T20Is. India hit the stumps thrice. Robin, Sehwag, and Harbhajan did the trick for team India.

But the Pakistani bowlers failed to repeat India’s magic even once. So India won this match because of the bowl-out drama.

Close game in World T20 2007 Final: India won by just 5 runs

In the inaugural season of the T20 World Cup 2007 edition, India and Pakistan were the finalists in that tournament. This game also went down till the last ball, and India again held their nerve to become the first-ever champions of the shortest-format tournament.

India scored 157 runs in their 20 overs at Johannesburg. Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma were the heroes with the bat.

Like their first game against India at Durban, Pakistan again lost wickets in heap, and Misbah-ul-Haq held the innings together for the men in green side.

India started their defense of 157 runs pretty well. But the bowlers went down because of Misbah’s brilliant knock. The last over was given to Joginder Sharma, who was inexperienced.

But still, Jogi defended 13 runs as Sreesanth took the catch of Misbah’s miscued scoop shot, allowing India to win a close final match by just five runs.

Rain-Interrupted encounter in Kolkata

The rains interrupted the game between India and Pakistan in the 2016 T20 World Cup. So both the teams got only 18 overs per innings. Pakistan managed just 118 runs on the board, and India quickly chased this score down in the end.

Virat Kohli showcased his magic in front of the Eden Gardens crowd and the heart and soul of the nation, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, who was present in the audience. The King smashed an unbeaten 55 runs to take India to a memorable win of six wickets.

Pakistan finally opened their account in World Cup tournament against India

Last year's world cup encounter between India and Pakistan was disappointing for the men in blue. Pakistani team bagged one of the famous wins against India in the world cup tournaments.

Pakistan beat India by a whopping ten wickets in Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

India batted first and scored just 151 runs on the board. They reached this score mainly because of Virat Kohli’s 57-run knock and Rishabh Pant’s 39 runs.

But this score wasn't enough as the Pakistani team chased this target down without losing any wickets. Skipper Babar Azam’s unbeaten 68 runs and Mohammad Rizwan scored brilliant 79 runs to take Pakistan through to a fantastic win.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was the hero with the ball. He picked up three wickets in four overs which allowed the men in green side to restrict India to such a low total.
