Gun License to Nupur Sharma: Suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has got an arms license. Delhi Police has given her this license for self-defence.
After her alleged controversial statement on Prophet Muhammad, there were protests in many parts of the country and she was receiving death threats. Many cases were also registered against Nupur Sharma.
The Bharatiya Janata Party had suspended national spokesperson Nupur Sharma after protests across the country and abroad over her controversial statement against Prophet Muhammad in a TV debate.
Along with Nupur Sharma, the BJP had also sacked Naveen Kumar Jindal, media head of the Delhi unit, for making a similar controversial statement.
Some Muslim countries including Kuwait, Qatar and Iran had also expressed their official displeasure over the objectionable statement made by these two BJP leaders against Prophet Muhammad.
After this, BJP took action against these two leaders and issued a statement, in which it said that it respects all religions and condemns the insult of revered leaders of any religion.
After suspension from BJP, Nupur Sharma had unconditionally withdrawn her statement. She said that her intention was not to hurt the religious sentiments of anyone.
Not only this, those who supported the statement of Nupur Sharma were also being threatened to behead. Amravati-based chemist Umesh Kolhe was murdered by slitting his throat on June 21, 2022.
So right there, Kanhaiya Lal was beheaded by entering the shop in Udaipur.
Along with this, many others were also threatened with beheading. Slogans of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' were also raised in the demonstrations.
