Jharkhand Love Jihad Case: Ankita of Dumka, who was fighting for life for five days, finally lost. She died this morning in Ranchi's RIMS.

The incident of burning Ankita took place on August 23 at 4 am. Ankita's grandparents, her father and her younger brother were present in the house at that time.
By the time Ankita woke up from her sleep, she was surrounded by the wraps of fire.
She somehow opened the room door and poured a bucket full of water kept in the courtyard on her. But still, Ankita was burning.
Ankit was admitted to Dumka Medical College for treatment. As soon as the matter came to the notice, the city police arrested the accused Shahrukh and recorded the statement of the victim.
Ankita's family members told that Shahrukh had taken Ankita's phone number from somewhere and used to call her and pressurize her to be friends, but Ankita used to refuse him.
Shahrukh had threatened Ankita that if she did not listen to her, he would not leave Ankita alive.
Ankita's old grandmother has asked to hang the accused immediately. Grandmother said that the accused should be hanged, who killed my granddaughter. She also said "I am old enough, we don't know when God will call us, so the killer should be hanged as soon as possible so that my soul rests in peace.
After the death of Ankita, the officials say that we will take this matter to the fast track court.
The SP said that on the basis of the strong evidence received in this regard and what the victim has said in her pre-death statement, we will aim to give the death penalty to the culprits.

BJP Mahila Morcha burnt an effigy of accused Shahrukh at Tin Bazar Chowk in Dumka.
