Delhi Liquor Scam Case: On Monday, the Rouse Avenue Court extended Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody until April 23. Kejriwal's 15-day judicial custody was scheduled to end on Monday.

After that today, Monday, he appeared via video conferencing from Tihar Jail in the Rouse Avenue Court, where he was presented, and the court has now sent him to judicial custody until April 23.

Today, the Rouse Avenue Court also extended the judicial custody of the co-accused Kavitha in the Delhi Liquor Scam case until April 23.

Arvind Kejriwal Was Arrested in Delhi Liquor Scam Case

Arvind Kejriwal, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after questioning in the Delhi Liquor Scam case and sent to Tihar Jail.

Following Kejriwal's refusal to accept security from the ED for coercive action as ordered by the Delhi High Court, he was arrested by the ED from his residence on the night of March 21.

Before this, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court against Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, in which the court sought a response from the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta of the Supreme Court asked the ED to respond by April 24 in this case and stated that the case hearing will commence in the week starting from April 29.

Kejriwal's Arrest Deemed Necessary by Delhi High Court

On April 9th, the Delhi High Court had upheld the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, stating that after Kejriwal had ignored nine summons and refused to participate in the investigation, the agency had no choice but to proceed with his arrest.
