Lok Sabha Elections 2024: All political parties are gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, in the capital city of Delhi, the two-day national convention of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has commenced today.

The event, taking place at the Pragati Maidan's Bharat Mandap, will see the participation of nearly 11,000 representatives from across the country.

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the representatives will include party office bearers, current and former MPs, MLAs, and elected mayors from all over the country. He mentioned that the convention will have a comprehensive organizational agenda.

Convention will Conclude with PM Modi's Speech Tomorrow

The convention will conclude with Prime Minister Modi's speech tomorrow," said Ravi Shankar Prasad, adding, "While the Congress and left parties make various comments, it is only the BJP that conducts maximum organizational work democratically, whether it's the national convention, national executive, or events at the state and district levels." He said, "This is in our DNA."

Prasad mentioned that these council meetings were held just before the general elections in 2014 and 2019. Prasad further stated that the BJP had secured a majority in the Lok Sabha in 2014 and achieved an even bigger victory five years later.

Aim to Win 370 Lok Sabha Seats

Former Union Minister said that Modi had also given his views in the previous two meetings and now he has set a target of winning 370 Lok Sabha seats for the party, while the target for the ruling coalition is to win more than 400 seats out of 543. He added, "To fulfil the Prime Minister's call, the 'National Convention' has been organized."

The BJP leader said that during the two-day National Council meeting, discussions will be held on various subjects including the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the party's preparations.

He said, "A comprehensive organizational agenda has been prepared for the meeting." The BJP leader said, "There will be a meeting of party officials on Saturday and flag hoisting will take place at three in the afternoon."

Prasad said that a detailed discussion will be held on the upcoming elections during the meeting. He said that an exhibition on the theme of 'Developed India' will also be held at the meeting venue for the representatives.
