This increase in the number of pilgrims can be attributed to the efforts of the government to improve infrastructure, services and facilities related to road transport, helipad service, water supply, electricity, healthcare, roads, sanitation and other basic amenities.

As many as 30 government departments are involved in providing facilities to make the pilgrims experience a home-like home.

The authorities have encouraged and promoted the services such as food, accommodation, healthcare, and the use of ponies, resulting in a notable increase in the number of pilgrims undertaking the Amarnath Yatra.

This remarkable achievement has surpassed the figures of the previous year, making it a record-breaking pilgrimage.

This year, the government has also constructed two routes, connecting Amarnath cave with the base camps, namely Pahalgam and Baltal. These routes enable the continuation of the pilgrimage even during evening hours, making the journey smoother and more accessible for devotees.

The establishment of a unified command and control centre, integrated with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology, ensures strict vigilance and smooth management of the pilgrimage.

Due to the support and development provided by the government and administration, the number of pilgrims has amazingly reached three lakhs in a very short span of time.
