Addressing the press, MLA Divya Maderna said, "Despite being a woman legislator, I do not feel safe in Rajasthan. I have lodged several complaints about potential threats to my life. The attackers roam freely and often pass near my residence without any arrests being made. I urge the government to pay attention to the law and order situation in Jodhpur."
Expressing her frustration with the police's handling of the situation, she added, "I was under police protection and had informed the IG about the potential risks I faced. However, no action was taken, and the crime control in Jodhpur seems to be failing. The IG should be immediately attached to the PHQ (Police Headquarters)."
The tragic incident in Jodhpur involved the murder of four family members by a relative, Pappuram, who is believed to be the nephew of the victimized family. Pappuram has been arrested by the police in connection with the killings.
