Mata Vaishno Devi: There is important information for the devotees going to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan. The system of issuing travel slips to devotees for the journey from Katra to Bhawan has now been discontinued.
Instead of a travel slip, a travel card equipped with RFID has been started by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. The full form of RFID is Radio-frequency identification. At present, these RFID cards are being given at 29 places.
Earlier a Yatra slip system was in operation for the pilgrims, which was available online and offline. But now the RFID system has been started.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board CEO Anshul Garg said that with the RFID system we will be able to monitor the pilgrims in real-time.
He said that by an order of the Hon'ble Supreme, a maximum limit of 50,000 pilgrims has been placed for peak days and by this system, we can keep an eye on that.
This will help us to regulate the journey. Pilgrims are also very happy with the new system and they say that it will help in smooth travel and is a very good initiative.
Along with this, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is also preparing Durga Bhawan with a capacity to accommodate 2.5 thousand pilgrims in the temple premises.
Talking about the premises at present, there is a limited arrangement for the accommodation of the pilgrims and only a limited number of pilgrims can stay there.
In such a situation, the Shrine Board is constructing this building there so that more and more pilgrims can stay there, a part of which will be completed by the month of September and the whole building will be completed by the end of this year.
