Food delivery company Zomato has launched its 'Large Order Fleet' on Tuesday. Customers can order food for up to 50 people directly from Zomato through this fleet.

The company aims to increase its market share by receiving orders from parties, birthdays, and other small events through this service.

Deepinder Goyal Shares Update on Twitter

Zomato's CEO and co-founder, Deepinder Goyal, shared information on X that the company is introducing an all-electric fleet.

In a post on the platform, he mentioned that this fleet would make it easier for drivers to handle large orders.

Previously, such orders were often managed by numerous regular delivery partners, resulting in a poor experience for customers.

Goyal's post stated that they are excited to present India's first large order fleet, designed to easily handle all your big (group/party/event) orders.

It is entirely electric and specifically designed for placing orders for gatherings of up to 50 people.

Food Will Stay Warm Until Delivery," Assures Goyal

Goyal stated that work is currently underway on designated electric vehicles for this task, with Zomato focusing on integrating components such as cooling apparatus and temperature-controlled boxes.

This initiative aims to ensure that even food for 50 people stays warm until delivery. The biggest challenge will be to systematically transport all food items to the party venue.

Company's Business is Rapidly Growing

Zomato had revealed that the company's food delivery business saw a yearly surge of 30% in revenue in the December quarter. During this period, the company's total revenue reached Rs. 2,025 crore.

Additionally, the business of Zomato's subsidiary, Blinkit, also doubled during this period, reaching Rs. 644 crore. Expanding on this success, the company has now launched a new service.
