Chief minister Yogi Adityanath's cabinet on Monday approved the proposal to set up 218 fast-track courts in view of incidents of burning alive after gang rape in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh. Explain that out of 218, only rape cases will be heard in 144 courts. This will speed up the disposal of cases. This will lead to a financial burden of about Rs.16,350 lakhs per annum. 75 lakh rupees per year has been spent on each court.
