Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi has removed Sadhvi Pragya from the Parliamentary Committee of the Ministry of Defense. Along with this, Sadhvi Pragya has been told not to come in the meetings of BJP Parliamentary Party during the session.

There are reports quoting sources that the party's disciplinary committee will take major action against Sadhvi Pragya. He can also be expelled from the party. BJP acting president JP Nadda said that his statement in Parliament yesterday was condemnable. The BJP never supports such a statement or ideology.

In the Lok Sabha, while discussing the SPG Amendment Bill, DMK MP A.K. Raja was referring to a statement of Godse as to why he killed Mahatma Gandhi, then Sadhvi Pragya interrupted him. Sadhvi said, 'You cannot give an example of a patriot.' However, Pragya Singh Thakur's statement was removed from the Lok Sabha records.

This is not the first time that Pragya Singh Thakur has described Nathuram Godse as a patriot. Even during the Lok Sabha elections, he called Nathuram Godse a patriot. PM Modi also expressed displeasure over Pragya Singh Thakur's statement. The PM had said that even though Sadhvi Pragya has apologized in this matter, I will never be able to forgive her from my heart.
