RPF Constable Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting a Taxi Driver: Mumbai

A 29-year-old RPF constable in Mumbai has been arrested for sexually assaulting a taxi driver. A police officer said on Monday that this accused named Amit Dhankhar allegedly committed the crime on Sunday night and he was in a state of intoxication at the time.

According to the official, there was an argument with Dhankhar about the taxi driver taking passengers from PD Mello Road in South Mumbai. The officer said, "Dhankar wanted the taxi driver to leave him Grant Road. But the taxi driver refused, saying that he had already seated the passengers. Dhankar got angry on this. He poached the taxi driver and emptied it. Beer hit the bottle and took him to a railway area. He raped him sexually. "

The accused is posted in CSMT. According to the official, Dhankhar snatched Rs 850 cash, mobile phone from the victim and demanded Rs 2000 to leave him. The police officer said, "The victim somehow rescued himself from his clutches and reached the MRA Marg police station." According to the police, the accused has been caught from the RPF barrack.
