This will be the first time when four people will be hanged together in Tihar Jail. Earlier in 1982, Ranga-Billa were hanged together. Both were hanged on the same plank.
The country itself is in full swing preparing to hang Akshay, Vinay, Mukesh and Pawan, the four poets of Nirbhaya in South Asia's safest Tihar Jail. It is being told that apart from giving a curative petition and mercy petition to the President, these four convicts will have no other option. After the petition is rejected from both sides, all the four convicts will be hanged in Tihar Jail.
According to sources associated with the Tihar Jail Administration, a single plank has been prepared to hang the four convicts Vinay, Mukesh, Pawan and Akshay together. Earlier there was a provision to hang only two people here. The Tihar jail administration has extended the length of the throne and the PWD has completed the work on Monday itself.
It is being told that this throne has been prepared in Tihar Jail number three. Actually, after hanging in jail, there should be a sufficient amount of depth below it, so that the body can be removed. In such a situation, the help of JCB has also been taken to make a deep pit here.
It is being told that after the opening of the Supreme Court after the holidays, the four convicts will have to enter curative petitions. In fact, in the last hearing, the court had dismissed the plea of a convict Akshay and filed a curative petition within three weeks. In such a situation, it is believed that in the second week of January, curative petitions of the culprits will be put. After the curative petition and mercy petition is rejected by the President, all four will be hanged.
On December 16, 2012, the four convicts Akshay, Pawan, Vinay and Mukesh pleaded with Nirbhaya in a moving bus in Vasant Vihar area of Delhi. This act in Delhi stirred the nation as well as the whole world. After this, the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court have also approved the death sentence of the four after the trial court in the fast track court hearing.
