Police Received 11 Complaints on Sunday’s Violence in JNU

The Jawaharlal University (JNU) police received a total of 11 complaints in connection with the violence on Sunday. One of which is given by the professor, three students of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Apart from this, 7 complaints have been given by JNU Students Union and other students. The local police have sent these complaints to the crime branch.

It is being told that the leftist students and ABVP have complained against each other. Both have alleged assault.

The student groups clashed on Sunday at JNU. Several students, including student union president Aishi Ghosh, were hurt in the violent clash. While a female teacher was also hurt. The two groups had accused each other of assault and said that many of their associate students were injured.

The crime branch admitted that the JNU administration has no CCTV footage related to the incident as the JNU server was malfunctioned. Dainik Jagran was the first to publish the news that masking can be difficult to identify, as the server was malfunctioning for five days. The same footage has come out of the masked who are captured in CCTV cameras outside SBI Bank.
