Patiala: Two Killed in Bus and Bike Collision

Two persons died in road accidents in Patiala of Punjab. The bike rider died in a PRTC bus and a bike collision in Patiala-Devigarh road on Saturday morning. Police took the action in the case and arrested the bus driver and filed a case against him.

The Investigation Officer from police station Sannaur, ASI Major Singh informed that the local mechanic Gurpreet Kaur resident of Sawai Singh Wala, and Shamsher Singh (19), a resident of Dhandiya were riding on a bike at around 10 AM in the morning and were going towards Devigarh from Patiala. On the other hand, the bus of PRTC was going from Patiala to Pehowa (Kurukshetra).

On the way, a PRTC bus and bike collided face-to-face near Dhillon Fun World on Patiala-Devigarh Road. In this accident, both young men bike rider died on the spot. According to the police, the speed of both the bus and the bike was very fast.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. The body was taken into custody and sent to Government Rajindra Hospital. Until the information was written, the police had taken the driver of the PRTC bus, Avtar Singh resident of Deep Nagar Patiala in their custody and filed a case against him.
