Nigerian Football Player Arrested in Mohali While Smuggling Heroin

The Special Task Force (STF) constituted by the Government against drug addicts has arrested a Nigerian football player on Tuesday with a hundred grams of heroin. The accused has been identified as James Okofar. He was living in Vipin Garden, New Delhi. The STF has present the accused in the court and from there the accused sent to a two-day remand. STF officials say that investigation of the case is underway. There may be some more arrests soon. Assistant Inspector General of STF Harpreet Singh has confirmed the arrest of the accused.

STF was informed that the accused Nigerian has come to Delhi to supply heroin. During the day, supplying heroin to its distinguished customer in the Kharad. Subsequently, ASI Avtar Singh of STF reached the Phase-six bus stand along with his team. In the meanwhile, they managed to arrest the accused. A hundred grams of heroin has been recovered from the accused. After this, the team of STF brought him to the STF police station at Phase-4. Where the case has been registered under the provisions of the NDPS Act on the accused. It is a coincidence that even before also a Nigerian football player has been caught.

In the interrogation, the accused has told that he is a resident of Nigeria. He came to India in February 2019. He is also a football player. He had come to greed for money and started supplying heroin.
