The 30-year-old man, who lives in Palghar district of Maharashtra, murdered his mother chronically ill to provide relief. According to the police, the accused carried out the incident while his mother was cooking breakfast for him in the kitchen. Accused Jayaprakash Dobhi attacked his mother with an iron rod on his head, after which he died on the spot.

In this case, Jayaprakash's elder brother filed a complaint with the police, saying that his younger brother is mentally ill. The complaint states that the victim woman Chandravati was cooking in her kitchen on Sunday, during which Jayaprakash hit her with an iron rod. The family came to know about this when Chandravati's elder son reached his home to meet his mother.

Seeing the mother dead, the son informed the police. Officers arrived at the spot and recovered the woman's body. According to police, the victim lived with her husband in Tarapur. The victim's daughter teaches in a school in NPCIL. The victim's elder son used to come to meet him every Sunday and when he reached home on Sunday, he saw the mother in a dead state.

Police filed a case

According to the family, on the day the incident happened, only his son was at home with Chandravati. Police say a case has been registered in this regard under section 302 of the IPC and medical examination is being done to investigate the accused's claim of being mentally ill.
