Lokpal Member Justice AK Tripathi Dies of Corona Virus, Infected Daughter also Admitted to AIIMS

Lokpal member Justice AK Tripathi has died of Corona virus infection. He was admitted to AIIMS in the capital Delhi. This is the first high profile death due to Corona virus in the country. AK Tripathi, former Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, he take his last breath at Jayaprakash Narayan Apex Trauma Center. Passes away at the age of 62.

Justice Tripathi was admitted to AIIMS on April 2. He was one of the four judicial members of the Lokpal. His daughter infected with Corona virus is still admitted in AIIMS.

Last breath at 8 pm on Saturday night
According to reports, after the condition worsened, Justice Tripathi was on ventilator for the last three days. He breathed his last at eight o'clock at night. Tripathi was found corona positive last month, and was in the ICU since he was admitted to AIIMS. He was later taken to the Trauma Center, where most of the people injured in road accidents are provided treatment. But recently it was converted into a Covid-19 dedicated hospital. He was the first patient taken here.

Justice Tripathi also worked as an Additional Advocate General in Bihar. He was later a Judge and then Chief Justice in Patna High Court. He was appointed a judicial member of the Lokpal in March last year.
