Karan Oberoi Pleads in The Higher Court

Karan Oberoi is an actor-anchor and singer, who has been seen in various Hindi Dramas, advertisements. He has also known for being a part of the Indian band, A Band of Boys which was formed in 2001.

Lately, the television actor had been taken under police custody under the charges of sexually assaulting and blackmailing a woman. He has now approached Bombay High Court post the session court had rejected his request for relief.

The court had rejected his plea as the case was incomplete and the investigation was still in the process due to which it would have been inappropriate to let the accused out on bail.

In the case presented in front of the higher court, the lawyer of the accused claims that his client has been falsely accused of sexual assault  as whatever had happened between he and the supposed victim was consensual.

However, the complaint lodged stated that he had raped the woman he had been in a relationship with a woman since 2016 and he had been raping that woman, on the promises of marriage.

 The woman had also claimed that Karan had shot some intimating videos and then demanded money out of her  as he'd threaten her to release those clips.
