J&K: Jaish-e-Mohammad’s terrorist Basir Ahmed Arrested in Srinagar

Bashir Ahmad, a terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammad, has been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar. Delhi Police had declared a reward of two lakh rupees on Basir. Special Cell arrested Basir Ahmed on Tuesday on the informant's information. He is under interrogation.

Bashir was arrested in 2007 after an encounter with the Delhi Police. Later, the lower court was acquitted. Although the High Court had sentenced it. Later, after getting bail, he was not present in the High Court, so the court issued a non-bailable warrant. On the basis of intelligence, Delhi Police arrested him. Two of his companions were arrested by the Delhi Police this year. Their names are Fayaz and Majid Baba.

On June 22 last year, a Pakistani militant of Jaish-e-Mohammed was killed in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district. The terrorists who were killed in Boniar area of ​​Uri area of ​​Baramulla district were identified as Lukman. The encounter started between the terrorists and the National Rifles and the Special Operations Group of the State Police, in which Lukman was killed.
