Hyderabad: A Man was Arrested for Cheating Unemployed Youth by Promising them Jobs in MNCs.

They would collect resumes of unemployed persons from job portals and call them saying they can provide them jobs in MNCs.

A 25-year-old man was arrested by the Cyber Crime Police of  Hyderabad, for cheating unemployed youth by promising them jobs with MNCs.

Police also seized laptops, mobile phones, ATM cards, and checkbooks.

According to the police, the accused, Prabhat Roy, 25, was a resident of Dabri of Palam area in Delhi and was brought to Hyderabad on a transit warrant.

The arrest was made following complaints received from two persons from Hyderabad, stating that they were cheated by unknown persons on the pretext of providing the job in multinational companies and were contacted through emails and mobile phones.

Believing them, they transferred Rs 1.02 lakh and Rs 1.79 lakh to their Paytm accounts. Later, the men cheated them by not responding to their calls.

Explaining their modus operandi, DCP, CCS, Avinash Mohanty said that they would collect the resumes of unemployed persons from job portals and would make calls to them saying they can provide jobs to them in MNCs.
