Those visiting spas or massage centers will now have to show identity cards such as Voter ID, Aadhaar card or driving license. You have to enter your name, address and mobile number in the register kept at the reception. The South MCD has enacted these rules for strictness on spas and massage centers. These will be implemented soon.

Recently these steps are being taken after the raid of Delhi Women Commission in Burari and Nawada on the information of body trade in such centers. More than 70 spas and massage centers have been sealed so far. After this, in the meeting of the Standing Committee of the South MCD, the members had asked to formulate strict rules to prevent such illegal activities. On the order of the committee, the Public Health Department has framed new rules.

CCTV cameras must also be installed inside and outside the reception of spas and massage centers. The MCD and police teams will examine these centers every month. If disturbances are found, the center can also be sealed.
