Delhi: Drunk Car Driver Crushed 4 People Sleeping on Divider, 1 Killed

In the Hazrat Nizamuddin area of the capital Delhi, a drunk driver of a car crushed four people sleeping on the divider (central verse). In which a 23-year-old man was killed while three others injured in the accident are being described as critical. The injured are undergoing treatment at AIIMS Trauma Center.

Police arrested the accused driver of Janakpuri and seized the car. Against the accused, the case has been filed under section 308/304 of IPC and sent to jail. The accused is the country manager of the University of Birmingham, South East Asia Zone of the United Kingdom.

According to the police, around 3.30 pm on Friday, it was reported that the car driver has crushed the people sleeping on the divider near the Neela Guband. Because of the heat, these people were sleeping on the divider. On receiving the information of the incident, the police team reached the spot and all the injured were admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Center. While doctors declared a man killed, three people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

According to the police, the people surrounded the car driver, after which the police took him into custody and took him to the police station. It is being told that due to high speed, the tire of the right side of the car has exploded. Because of this car's balance was uncontrolled and the driver could not control the car in a drunken condition. At the same time, the car stopped after the crushing people on the divider. At present, a case has been registered against the accused and sent him to jail.
