Court Sentenced Rapist Seven Years of Jail With Fine of Rs 30000

The fast track court has convicted the accused e-rickshaw driver for seven years imprisonment and fined Rs 30,000 in the case of raping a woman three years ago in Mansurpur area of ​​Muzaffarnagar district. After sentencing, the accused has been sent to jail.

On 19 January 2017, a woman resident of Mansoorpur police station area came to Mansoorpur. In the evening she boarded an e-rickshaw of Sarvesh alias Sheru Putra Sumerchand, a resident of Ajmatgarh. It is alleged that the e-rickshaw driver took the woman through the Rajbehe of Begrajpur Medical College to the forest, where she terrorized the woman with force and raped her.

Police registered a report on the woman's complaint and accused Sarvesh alias Sheru was arrested and sent to jail. He later came out on bail. After the session was handed over, the rape case was heard in a fast track court-first before Judge Ankur Sharma.

On behalf of the prosecution, ADGC Ritu Chaudhary presented four witnesses and presented concrete evidence. On the basis of this, the judge on Thursday accused the accused Sarvesh alias Sheru of rape and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000. After sentencing, he was sent to jail.
