Boxing Coach Arrested for Sexual Harassment of 19-Year-Old Girl Player

A Haryana coach has been arrested for sexual harassment. The coach, who accompanied the 19-year-old player representing Haryana at the West Bengal Classic Boxing Championship, sexually assaulted girl. Coach was with the team in the championship. In this case, a complaint has been registered against the coach under section 354A / 376 of the IPC after a complaint was lodged by the 19-year-old player at the New Delhi Railway Station on 13 March.

In this complaint, the 19-year-old player has alleged that coach and her companions left for Kolkata from Duronto Express on February 27 from New Delhi. He went to represent Haryana's team in the tournament. Meanwhile, the coach of the team, Sandeep Malik, sexually assaulted her in the train and while staying in Kolkata. The name of the female player has not been revealed.

This female player recorded her statement and repeated her allegations after which 28-year-old coach Sandeep was arrested from Sonipat in Haryana on 16 March. According to the information, during the interrogation, the coach admitted to sexual harassment. Sandeep runs a boxing academy in Sonipat and has also represented India in boxing. The coach is married and has two children.
