A young man raped an engineer girl by giving her commitment to marriage and also escape after taking Rs 3 lakh for marriage preparations. The complaint has been made by the victim engineer in Phase-III Kotwali.

Police have said that they start an investigation. Basically, an engineer girl of Rae Bareli lives in Kondli village of Delhi along with a family and works in a private company in Noida's Sector-65.

The victim alleged that she had met a young man of khoda in the company. The accused had called her one day in his room on the pretext of some work and misbehaved with her by mixing some intoxicant substance in the alcohol.

When she came to the senses, and when she talked of complaining to the police, the accused stood and proposed her to get married. The victim thought it appropriate to marry after the incident.

After this, she started preparing for marriage and said that she had Rs 3 lakh to take home. After getting married, she also gave Rs 3 lakh of his salary to stay in the house.

But a few days later, it was revealed that the accused got married in her district. After this, the victim has complained in Kotwali Phase-3. Police say that the investigation has started on the basis of a complaint. Only then will further action be taken.
