Abhinandan, the wing commander of the Indian Air Force, will be honored with the Vir Chakra on Independence Day. Along with this, Squadron Leader Minty Aggarwal will be awarded the Yudh Seva Medal.

Abhinandan shot down an aircraft on February 27 after chasing Pakistan's F-16 aircraft from a MiG-21 bison. Later, his plane became the target of a missile, before it was destroyed, he got out of the aircraft and then got stuck in PoK. However, after pressure from India, Pakistan had to leave Abhinandan current. Pakistani security forces arrested Abhinandan, but returned him to India at the Wagah border only after about 60 hours. The Vir Chakra is the third-highest honor given at the time of war in India.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman, who shot down the Pakistani F-16 aircraft at the Pakistan border, will once again be seen flying the MiG-21 fighter plane. A medical board cleared the way for him to return to flying duty. IAF Bengaluru's Institute of Aerospace Medicine once again approved Abhinandan to sit in the cockpit of Fighter Jet.

For this, Abhinandan had to undergo a medical fitness test, in which he passed. According to the information, Abhinandan can start flying in fighter plane MiG-21 in the next two weeks. Abhinandan was imprisoned in the Pakistani border, but was later handed back to India. After this, his flying duty was banned by the Air Force.
