China and India have failed to provide information about their new plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the deadline set by the United Nations. This information is to be included in a report that will be presented at this year's global climate conference.
The world's two most populous countries are among several countries that will not inform the UN climate change agency until July 31 on their goals to reduce emissions of the gases that heat the Earth, officials said on Saturday. UN climate chief Patricia Espinosa said the 110 signatories to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change adhered to the deadline.

Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Syria and 82 other countries have not given this information.
