Google has introduced an incredible AI feature in Google Photos. The company announced this feature at its developers' conference. Through this feature, users will be able to search for their favourite photos by speaking and typing text.
Google has named this AI-based feature Ask Photos, which is based on Gemini AI. The announcement of this feature was made at the developers' conference held on May 14. Soon, this feature will be available to Android users.
During the Google I/O 2024 event, Google revealed that Gemini AI has been integrated into Google Photos. With this feature, any photo or video from your linked Google Photos library can be easily found.
Google explained that this AI-based feature will search for the specified photo from your library based on your voice or text command.
For instance, if you're trying to find an old photo from your library but can't remember the date it was uploaded, you can use a voice command to search for it. You'll need to use the new Ask Photos feature in Google Photos.
Simply describe who or what is in the photo you're looking for, or mention something specific you remember about it.
Upon issuing the command, this feature will display the relevant photo in front of you.
During the demo of the Ask Photos feature by Google, a prompt for a car's license plate was given. Based on the provided command, this AI feature was able to find the photo of that specific car.
This feature in Google Photos can be used not only for photos but also for searching videos from the library. Additionally, photos or videos can be searched based on their upload date and time.
This feature of Google Photos will be rolled out for users in the coming months.
