Twitter New CEO Parag Agrawal: Who is Parag Agarwal who has Replaced Jack Dorsey?
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has decided to step down as CEO of the social media company. In his place, Parag Agrawal of Indian origin has now been appointed as CEO. Dorsey praised Parag Agrawal and said that as the CEO of Twitter, I have deep faith in Parag. His work in the last 10 years has been brilliant. I am very grateful for his skill, heart and personality. It is time for them to lead.
Parag Agrawal started his career as an engineer
According to Dorsey, Parag Agrawal started his career as an engineer at Twitter and is now going to take over as CEO. Before becoming the CEO, Agrawal was the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Twitter.
He has an engineering degree from IIT Bombay and a doctorate degree in computer science from Stanford University. Agrawal has been working at Twitter since 2011 and was the company's CTO since 2017. When he joined the company, its workforce was less than 1,000. Before joining Twitter, Parag was working at Microsoft and Yahoo.
What did Parag Agarwal say?
Parag Aggarwal also thanked Jack Dorsey and other colleagues.
He wrote in the letter posted on Twitter, "Thank you, Jack, I am honoured. And I am grateful for your continued advice and friendship. I am also grateful for the trust you put in me. I am grateful to the entire team for inspiring them to repose confidence in our future".
"I joined this company 10 years ago when it had less than a thousand employees. Even though it was a decade ago, but for me, it is like yesterday. I have seen many ups and downs, challenges, victories and mistakes during this period. But even then and now I see the tremendous influence of Twitter and its continuing progress".
Parag Agarwal wrote, "We have recently updated our strategy to achieve our objectives. But the challenge before us is how to implement it and drive results so that Twitter can be the best for our consumers, shareholders and all of you."
