Tokyo Olympics 2021: New Dates Announced, Know Details!!

The decision to postpone Tokyo 2020 for a year was taken due to the increasing cases of Coronavirus. Now it will be organized next year. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the dates for the event to be held next year.

The tournament was to be held this year from July 24 to August 9, which had to be postponed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic. It has now been decided to hold the tournament from 23 July to 8 August next year. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the National Sports Federation (NSF) are happy with the new dates for the Tokyo Olympics 2021 and have welcomed these dates.

The games will be held from July 23 to August 8, while the Paralympic Games will take place from August 24 to September 5. These games were postponed by a year due to Corona. IOA Secretary General Rajiv Mehta said, 'IOA and NSF welcome and support these new dates. We are in touch with the NSF representatives and we are in talks with them on the new calendar and the road map of the Tokyo Games.

Many Olympic qualification tournaments have been canceled or postponed due to Corona. Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had said that the players would be given full opportunity to prepare for the Olympics. Teams and players who have already qualified and will not have to enter the qualification tournament again.
