Sky Light Hospitality Case: Hearing against Robert Vadra Postponed Till February

The Jodhpur High Court has adjourned the hearing against Robert Vadra and his mother Maureen Vadra till February 5 in the Sky Light Hospitality case. Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, is accused in the land scam. Due to lack of time, Justice Manoj Kumar Garg deferred hearing of the case till February next year.

Senior advocate KTS Tulsi appeared in the High Court on behalf of Robert. While Additional Solicitors General RD Rastogi and Bhanu Pratap Bohra appeared on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Vadra, his mother Maureen and partner of Sky Light Hospitality are accused in the money laundering case related to this case.

It is alleged that Sky Light Hospitality bought 69.55 acres of land in Kolayat village of Bikaner at a very low price and sold it illegally to Aligheni Finlease for Rs 5.15 crore. The involvement of some officials of the state government in this land scam is also under investigation. In September 2015, the ED had registered a case against Vadra, including Maureen Vadra, under the sections of the Money Laundering Act.
