Sapt Shakti: India and France Soldiers Showing Battle Skills at Mahajan Field Firing Range

On Sunday, the fourth day of the exercise, soldiers of both countries demonstrated their strength. The joint exercise was inaugurated on 31 October and will last until 13 November. The exercise is named "Sapta Shakti-2019". The 38 soldiers of the French Army are working with Indian soldiers to learn battle skills from each other. During this exercise, special plans are being worked out on counter terrorism. During this time, the participants of the two countries are working on topics such as Joint planning, Entrenchment and Search operations, Search and rescue, Joint tactical exercises and a basic sense of specialized weapon skills.

According to the military spokesman, the main objective of the joint exercise is to strengthen mutual coordination and military ties between the two armies. This exercise will help in conducting joint exercises at the Paltan level to counter the terrorist threat under the United Nations.

Significantly, the Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat visited Sapta Shakti Command Headquarters in Jaipur on Saturday. General Rawat interacted with Sapta Shakti Command soldiers here and congratulated them for maintaining the highest standards of military training, tactical preparedness and troop coordination with the common people. On arrival of General Rawat to Jaipur, Lieutenant General Alok Kler of South Western Command welcomed him.

General Rawat was accompanied by his wife Maghulika Rawat, president of the Army Wives Welfare Association. Madhulika Rawat interacted with the wives of the soldiers and appreciated the efforts being made by the Regional Army Vibes Welfare Association to make the soldiers' wives skillful and self-reliant. The Indian Army's only cavalry regiment 61 of the Indian Army was also included in the itinerary. The army chief also interacted with the soldiers of the regiment.
