Samsung has Established its Dominance in the Global 5G Market

South Korean smartphone brand Samsung may have reached number three in the Indian market but the company continues to dominate the global 5G smartphone market.  According to a Strategy Analytics report, Samsung currently remains the leader of the global 5G market.  Presently, the global 5G market has reached 24 million i.e. 24 million.  24 million people are using 5G smartphones.  Apart from Samsung, Chinese smartphone brands like Huawei, Vivo, Xiaomi, OPPO have also made their mark in the global 5G market.  These companies are also currently in the top-5 global 5G smartphone brand.

Looking at the global 5G shipments, Samsung holds the first place by shipping 8.3 million (83 lakh) 5G devices.  At the same time, Huawei (along with Honor) has shipped 8 million (8 million) 5G devices in the global market and it occupies the second place.  Apart from this, Vivo, which occupies the third number, has shipped 2.9 million (29 lakh) 5G devices in the global market.  Xiaomi, another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has shipped 2.5 million (2.5 million) 5G devices and is in fourth place.  OPPO has shipped 1.2 million (1.2 million) 5G devices in the global market and occupies the number five position.  Apart from these five smartphone brands, other brands have shipped 1.2 million (1.2 million) 5G devices in the market.

Samsung's market share in the global 5G smartphone market is 34.4 percent.  Apart from this, Huawei has a market share of 33.2 percent.  Vivo, the third-ranked OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), has a market share of 12.0 percent in the global 5G market.  At the same time, Xiaomi's market share is 10.4 percent and OPPO's global 5G market share is 5 percent.  Apart from these five companies, the market share of all other companies is 5 percent.
