President Appointed New Governor in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh

President Ramnath Kovind appointed Anusuiya Uikey to Chhattisgarh and Viswabhushan Harichandan as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, Kalraj Mishra was made the Governor of Himachal Pradesh and the Governor of Devvrat Acharya as the Governor of Gujarat.

Anusuya Uike is the former Rajya Sabha MP and Vice President of the current National Scheduled Tribes Commission. Viswabushan has been a former law minister of Harichandan Odisha.

BJP leader of Odisha will replace Vishvabhushan Harichandan, ESL Narasimhan. Narasimhan was the Governor of Andhra Pradesh for the past decade. The Chhattisgarh Governor's additional charge is currently being handled by Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.

President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Anusuiya Uikey as Governor of Chhattisgarh. 
Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has been named as Governor of Andhra Pradesh. 
An official release said the appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their offices.
