Pakistan’s Flag Placed in Delhi Assembly Premises

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the Three-day tenth Commonwealth Youth Parliament in the Delhi Assembly. 47 participants from 24 countries are participating in this three-day event which runs till 27 November.

There will be 11 participants from India including Delhi. In the Delhi Assembly, flags of all the countries involved in the Commonwealth have been placed. For this reason, the flag of Pakistan has also been planted. However, Pakistan is not joining it.

On the inauguration, Amelia Envelope, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliament and Vice-President of the Cameroon National Parliament, was present. Apart from Emilia Envelope, Delhi CM Kejriwal, Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel and several MLAs were also present on the occasion. This is the first time that an assembly of India is hosting the Commonwealth Youth Parliament. This event will run from today to 27 November
