Pakistan's financial action task force (FATF) is being hanged by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) because of its failure to curb terrorist infrastructure and terror funding. According to sources monitoring against Terror funding, Islamabad has come close to being blacklisted. Sources told that the 27-point target given to Pakistan by FATF against Terror Funding has managed to achieve only 6 of them. Explain that if Pakistan is blacklisted from the FATF, then the way of international financial help for it will almost stop.

Pakistan is currently included in the FATF's list of 'gray list'. The FATF will conduct a final review of its status in Paris next month. Indeed, the FATF aims to ensure effective adherence to legal, regulatory and practical steps to eliminate serious threats to international financial systems, including money laundering, terror funding.

Terrorists resume training in Balakot
Sources monitoring the implementation of FATF's action plan in Pakistan said that Pakistan has currently detected only 5 out of more than 100 terrorists/organizations declared by the UN on its territory. These 5 also include Lashkar-e-Taiba / Jamaat-ud-Dawa / Falah-e-Insaniyat leader Hafiz Mohammad Sayeed. He was arrested by Pakistani authorities in July on charges of terror funding and has since been in custody.

According to reports coming from Pakistan, more than 900 properties linked to Terror funding have been seized. These include madrasas and dispensaries. Of these, 750 properties are allegedly linked to Falah-e-Insaniyat and 150 properties are related to Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Pakistan still remains to identify the source of the seized assets from which the funding was received and to file a case against the owners of these properties. Apart from this, no active terrorist base, terrorist training camps etc. have been seized.

Last year, the FATF put Pakistan on the gray list and asked it to implement a 27-point anti-terror action plan to avoid being blacklisted. In July this year, 23 cases of Terror funding have been reported. The names of around 65 active terrorists are included in these cases.

The FATF gave Pakistan 15 months to implement a 27-point action plan to avoid being blacklisted. However, during this time Pakistan kept pretending against the Terror funding only and tried to throw dust in the eyes of the world.
