Due to the cheap mobile data of Reliance Jio, the number of people using internet in the country has increased rapidly. According to a recent report, India has 12 percent share in the total global internet users. This has made India the second most populous country of the people of the Internet.

According to this, around 3.8 billion people worldwide use the Internet. It is more than half of the world's total population. China tops with 21 percent of internet users.

In the US, only 8 percent of internet users worldwide. The growth rate of internet users across the world remains strong. It was 6 percent in 2018. However, it is less than seven percent in 2017. According to the report, Reliance Jio has 30.7 million mobile phone users.

In it, Jio chief Mukesh Ambani has been quoted as saying that he is preparing an offline commerce platform from a hybrid online. In this, relate the Reliance Retail's marketplace to Jio's digital infrastructure. It is notable that on September 5, 2016, Jio started a business in the Indian market with a cheap Internet plan. Since then the number of internet users in the country has increased and due to the competition, other companies have also cheaper their internet plans.
